Ariel Quartet

The Quartet

"...a gripping and often very subtle reading, setting ear-melting tenderness against seething passion..."
— The Washington Post

Founded in Israel when the members were still teenagers, the Ariel Quartet is currently Faculty Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. The quartet is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023.

The Ariel Quartet has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and venues around the world, and recently released their acclaimed album of Brahms and Bartók. They have performed complete Beethoven quartet cycles to critical acclaim.

The quartet has received numerous awards including the Cleveland Quartet Award, First Prize at the Franz Schubert and Modern Music Competition, and the Grand Prize at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.

The members have been mentored by legendary musicians including Walter Levin of the LaSalle Quartet and Paul Katz of the Cleveland Quartet, carrying forward the rich tradition of chamber music performance.

Through their residency at the University of Cincinnati, the Ariel Quartet continues to shape the next generation of musicians while maintaining an active international performance schedule.
